Alar Elken
As Chief Executive Officer of both NA Publishing, Inc. and XanEdu Publishing, Inc., Alar oversees the global products and services operations for both companies. Prior to joining NA Publishing, Inc. in August 2011, Alar was Executive Vice President at Cengage Learning and Training Solutions and also worked for McGraw-Hill College Division.

Alar has extensive experience in higher education, publishing, sales and management. His strategic vision and practical business knowledge will help extend the company's 68‑year heritage as a trusted and valued partner of libraries, universities, governments, and businesses around the world.

Alar received his B.A. from Colgate University and has completed MBA coursework at Seton Hall University.

Tim Mitchell
Tim has more than 21 years of experience serving libraries in the information industry. He was national sales director for ProQuest Information and Learning, with a strong track record for successfully achieving goals and meeting customers' needs.

Previously, he was vice president of sales for bigchalk and regional sales director for Apex Learning.

Tim earned a BA from Carleton College and master's degree in management and policy analysis from Carnegie-Mellon University.

John DeBoer
As Chief Financial Officer, John manages finance, human resources, and business information systems.

Previously, John served as CFO at Applimation, Inc., a world-wide provider of application data management software that was acquired by Informatica in early 2009. His experience at Applimation included all facets of financial management, from acquisitions to international tax to treasury management. John also worked for Allied Domecq and Price Waterhouse.

John earned his Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University, has completed executive studies at the University of Michigan and Babson College, and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
